O' Langching Vangkho, The Untold Imaginary

Deep within Langching Vangkho's heart, untold memories reside,
Where I was born, where my dreams did abide.
Bound by paddy fields, neighbouring by friendly Meetei,
Amidst the hills and breeze, lies the Vangkho, now memories seize.
Oh, Vangkho, where childhood laughter played, "Kangguinui," the swimming pool,
In your embrace, my memories stayed.

But on that fateful day, May 28 2023, a sorrow day, tears did flow,
As enemies' flames to sorround, piece a heavy blow.
The enemy's wrath, amidst ethnic conflict,
Took away our home, our active life.
Each corner, each lane, now echoes the past,
In the ruins of Vangkho, memories last.
I miss the breeze incense of "Jaanlai Lengnu," planted in my fence,
The warmth of sun, the emotion scarce.
The chirping birds, the lovely memories of 'Ngoiyang and Louhhei stream,'
Now replaced by silence, in this desolate space.
But Vangkho memoir lives on, in my heart and soul,
In the stories we share, in tales untold.

O Langching Vangkho, though torn by ethnic conflict, we stand strong,
In the shadows of memories, where we belong.
We are mourning, our hearts still weep,
For the anniversary lost, in memories deep.
Commemorating 75 years of village, life's calm stream,
Captured, then torn, by the enemy's blow.
Missing you, O' Langching, cherished home,
In the echoes of Christmas and New Year laughter, in the whispers of time.
Your untold memories, forever alive,
Among the minds of those who seek to survive.

Through untold pain, our relationships endure,
In Vangkho's tale, love is pure and unbound.
O Langching Vangkho, though torn apart by foes,
Your spirit lingers, in our beating heart.
We'll rebuild, we'll rise, amidst of pain and sorrow,
And the Vangkho, cherish your memories, like a soothing rain.

The poem beautifully captures the essence of old Langching Vangkho, which was located at the four district junction (Lamka-Chandel-Kakching-Bishenpur), the place called Sugnu, and the sorrow of its loss amidst ethnic conflict. The imagery l've used paints a clear picture of the memories and the pain of their destruction. It's a poignant tribute to a place, called Langching Vangkho, that will forever remain in the hearts of those who called it home.
