Eternal May

In the aftermath of that fateful May;
Where once stood homes, now empty and gray.
Tears flow freely, hearts heavy with dismay;
As we grapple with losses that won't fade away.

A year's passage brings no solace or reprieve;
Justice eludes us, leaving wounds to grieve.
Yet amid the shadows, we still believe;
That faith will carry us, and grace we'll achieve.

Though homes lie ruined, and loved ones are gone;
In our hearts, their memory forever lives on.
With prayers lifted high, above heaven's throne;
Hoping for peace, in a place we call ‘Home’
