A Frontliner

We are the front-liners,
The unsung heroes.
Greyness covers the rows of boys,
as we lie together in silent rows.
Many voluntary lay in despair
Fitting oneself out.
Cannons and Rifles firing, people dying,
As ears went deaf.
The smell of Gun powder and smoke covered the fields,
Few lay in hope that there's a way out.
The Gunshots is heard, and in a little while
you saw someone fall.
Blood, poisoning these beautiful lands,
Hopeful in God that we could make it out.
Families at home brace themselves,
And so do we.
Many want it to end,
Yet we face them with guts and bravery.
Fighting them even if we risk our lives,
No matter what happens,
To secure and protect our land and
our people is our great vow.
