A lament for My Tribe

This day I'll remember and forget not,
For a tremendous hatred I begot,
For the people of the valley, the tyrants;
The brethens who ignored the call of sirens.

E'en the traveling lamp refused to shine;
Clouds of black smoke rose from the shrine.
The Church bells rang no more,
For loud was the evils' roar.

The sky wailed and turned dark;
The voices of the tribes it hark.
Bloods and heads of the innocents on the soil,
Homes and Villages set aflame with oil.

Nowhere to go , nowhere to run;
Hunted down with shells and gun,
By their friends who were actually a foe.
What should they do? where should they go?

The hills have witness our fears;
The mountains have seen our tears .
Forgiveness is a paragon of virtue,
But burnt away by fire in this issue.
