Since the Third of May, Twenty Twenty-three,
Nineteenth months of ethnic cleansing, a bitter strife,
Meetei encroached on Kukiland, our homes under siege.
No Kuki voice in the media, no ally near, the truth denied,
We cry for justice, where truth would sit,
State and Centre Government turned away, justice died.
Yet, as the New Year dawns, we dare to dream,
Kukiland—a dream, yet more profound,
Let the New Year bring justice clear.
May the Courts and Leaders, hear our plea,
For peace and rightful destiny,
A separate path, our Kukiland.
New Year, New hope, for Kuki’s reign,
A land of justice, freed from pain,
For Zalen'Gam, Kukiland, a hope defined.
