Today marks six months.
Six months since life as we knew it took a 360° turn.
Six months of oppression, torture, humiliation, bloodshed.
Of moments of deep agony and feeling like all hope is lost.
Of loss - those countable and those irreplaceable.
Of being on the receiving end of hatred.
But today also marks
Six months of resilience for my people.
Of standing for the truth in an ocean of lies.
Of many sacrifices - made in love.
Of loving and serving even in the midst of hurt.
No, we aren't perfect but we each did our part.
But oh lest we boast, may we remember -
Today marks six months
Six months of God's protection and provision.
Of miracles and breakthroughs in response to prayer.
Six months of outpouring of love from all across the globe
All made possible through the Cross.
So, as we cross the six month mark
Yes, today looks dim and tomorrow seems uncertain
But may we not give up hope
May we lean on God and return to Him
For surely as the sun rises, He will come (Hosea 6:3)
He alone is our firm anchor- in life, in death and unto eternity.
