Resilience in the Valley

In the shadows of that haunting day,
A year now passed, yet memories stay,
Survivors of a valley's grim decay,
Some made it through, some faded away.

Lives lost to violence without a name,
No mercy shown, no innocence to claim,
They spared no one in their deadly game,
Ravaged our lands, left us in shame.

Women's cries echo, their dignity torn,
Naked, paraded, in anguish they mourn,
Beheaded, bodies cruelly shorn,
Their laughter mocking, hearts forlorn.

Yet amidst the darkness, heroes rise,
"Tahchapa's" brave, with valor in their eyes,
Defenders of our ancestral ties,
They stand for justice, under darkened skies.

On this solemn day, we pay tribute true,
To those who fight for me and you,
May their courage guide us through,
As we rebuild, and start anew.
