The last light of Year of the Rabbit has gone.
Gone with three sixty and five rises of dawn.
The beauty of the world it withered by.
For ten and two lunar nights skittered I
In helter-skelter aimlessly grooved by.
Wandering around as a wind sporadically,
'Tis time to finally say the last goodbye.
Adieu to loved ones the Rabbit has taken.
Adieu to the Rabbit that's come to an end.
May the sufferings and sorrows of man be gone.
And haunting memories of the things bygone.
The first light of Year of the Dragon comes soon.
Pray, all you hills that the Dragon brings fortune.
Over the hills yonder the sun will soon rise.
From darkness to light a ray of hope will arise.
For the ones broken, a new heart likewise.
For the downtrodden and also the despised,
'Tis time to finally say the last goodbye.
Adieu to misery the Rabbit had brought forth.
Adieu to loss that'd torment us at our comfort.
May no calamity ever come in the life of man.
May sorrow depart and every heart amend.
