You are a shadow that refuses to be left behind.
A constant echo in the corridor of my thoughts,
An ever present whisper in the symphony of my mind.
To leave you behind, and a peace of mind I sought.
I hearkened to an old man cry, but what was I to do?
My state at such a downfall!
How was I to leave the familiar tree,
That provided shelter and comfort.
“Run for your life”, still rings in my ears.
I saw in some, the demon's cackle,
Craving for innocent blood and soul.
A lamb yet to be borne, injustifiably dispatched.
“Who'll unravel the truth?” I asked,
“We are just mere citizens”, said a man .
The lamb yearns for the delayed justice till date,
For justice delayed is justice denied!
